ABOUT

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE AT THRIVE:

OUR APPROACH

-SEEN DIRECTLY (one-on-one) by the therapist, never an aide or an assistant.

-KNOW THE PRICE UPFRONT, no hidden fees, no bills mailed to you months down the road.

-Be seen in a PRIVATE TREATMENT ROOM, not a large gym space with multiple patients sharing the space.

-Your therapist is available to SCHEDULE A PHONE CALL DIRECTLY with you to answer any questions you may have, rather than playing phone-tag through front desk staff.

-Receive INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAMMING specific to YOUR needs, not given the same pre-populated program to everyone who walks in the door.

-We consider you as a WHOLE person to get to the ROOT CAUSE of your symptoms, not solely treating an isolated part of your body.

-Receive valuable education and have all your QUESTIONS ANSWERED and NOT FEEL RUSHED, hurried or dismissed.

-Work with the SAME THERAPIST every visit instead of being passed between multiple clinicians.

-Be treated by a therapist SPECIALTY TRAINED AND EXCLUSIVELY TREATING PELVIC FLOOR, not a generalist treating multiple populations at once.

-Your therapist will REJECT THE IDEA that pain and/or leakage is normal and just something you must live with.

Meet the Experts

Kathryn Lester, OTR/L, MOT, PCES

Owner, Pelvic Health Specialist

Katie founded Thrive Pelvic Therapy after navigating her own postpartum experience, during which she felt the frustration of limited resources for the pregnancy and postpartum population. Motivated by this, she pursued specialized training, earning her Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification. Katie then broadened her expertise to treat patients of all ages dealing with pelvic pain, hip and lower back pain, sexual dysfunction, and urinary or bowel issues. She holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, earned in 2012, and continues to advance her training through the Herman & Wallace Institute. She also has received advanced training in visceral mobility. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two sons.

Carolyn Haggerty, PT, DPT

Pelvic Health Specialist

Carolyn has been a physical therapist for over 10 years and is passionate about helping women feel strong, confident, and supported through every stage of life. After her own postpartum experiences with her two daughters, she became especially committed to pelvic health and closing the gaps so many women face in care and education.

A former high school and college cross-country runner turned leisure runner, Carolyn has a special interest in helping women safely return to running and sport. She loves guiding women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and staying active throughout the female lifespan—always with an emphasis on injury prevention and long-term wellness.

Carolyn’s background includes hospital-based acute care, home health, and academia. She also has advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation and is continuing her education in pelvic health through the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health (CAPP-Pelvic) and the Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) certification.

Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys running, staying active, and spending time with her husband and two young daughters.

Abby Ryan

Administrative Assistant

As the administrative assistant at Thrive Pelvic Therapy, Abby is often the first friendly voice you'll hear when you call or visit. She’s dedicated to making every client feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for from the very first interaction.

Originally from Philadelphia, Abby moved to Berks County in 2018 and is a proud cat mom to Bean and Nugget. Her passion for women’s health was shaped by her own experiences navigating a healthcare system that didn’t always feel supportive. That journey inspired her to be part of a space where women feel truly seen, heard, and empowered.

Abby brings warmth, empathy, and a genuine desire to help—ensuring every client’s experience at Thrive is both positive and supportive.
